Ugging Through The Snow

It’s the time of year when the snow and the sleet are all around us. You can’t walk over it, under it or even around it…you have to go right through it. And unless you have the right footwear on, your feet are almost guaranteed to get wet and cold. But who really wants to spend over a hundred dollars on a pair of shoes that are only worn once a year? Well problem solved, because Uggs can be worn year round and have excellent protection again any weather or precipitation.

Originally made in Australia over two hundred years ago, Uggs were made for comfort and warmth. They were crafted out of real sheepskin. The benefits to this are keeping feet dry and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. These shoes are so reliable that they were worn in both World Wars by aviators to keep them warm.  The name “ug” came about because of their unappealing look. Now, so many people wear this brand that the unappealing look no longer matters.

They can be worn with anything and come in variety of different colors such as black, gray, all shades of brown, pink, blue and many more. Although the signature to this brand is the boot, they also have the Ugg shoe, slipper and clog. Some slide on, some tie and some button, some are ankle height, some go up to the knee and there is a range of height in between.

Uggs are everywhere and everyone has them. They are dependable, long lasting and can be worn any time of year. To this day, they hold their sturdy reputation for keeping feet happy and the shoe wearer as well.
